Position Description: Network Runners is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer II to support The 59th Test and Evaluation Squadron (TES) Flight Test Data Center (FTDC) which conducts data collection operations on F-35’s, F-22’s, F-15E’s, and F-16’s utilizing multiple unique instrumentation systems. The Instrumentation Engineer II will meet the need for data-driven Operational Test outcomes resident to the 59th TES Operational Test mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Possess knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
Possess knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
Possess knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.
Possess knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.
Possess knowledge of advanced concepts, principles, practices, methods, and techniques to provide expert judgment concerning programs/operations; resolve unique or novel problems, conditions, or issues; and significantly alter standard practices, processes, and known techniques.
Possess the ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
Possess the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
Possess the ability to write instrumentation recording instructions for 5th generation aircraft instrumentation systems to fulfill 59TES key stakeholder requirements.
Minimum Education / Experience / Requirements:
Level II – Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years’ experience
Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
Possess excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills
