Network Runners is seeking a highly motivated System Administrator to support The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate. The Systems Administrator will support the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. The System Administrator will manage all IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. This includes providing support to IT systems regarding day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client problems.
The System Administrator possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Has the ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.
- Provide Level II problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Must possess experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
• Associates Degree or higher and/ or 5-15 years’ experience.
