Job Summary:

The Human Resources Administrator/Office Administrator will manage multiple HR related tasks to include, but not limited to, Payroll, Time Keeping, Office Administration and Recruiting.

Responsibilities:
  • Administers the Payroll process and pays employees by calculating pay and maintaining appropriate records.
  • Maintains human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases; tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.
  • Orients new employees by providing orientation information packets; reviewing company policies; gathering withholding and other payroll information; explaining and obtaining signatures for benefit programs.
  • Administers medical insurance, disability programs by advising employees of eligibility; providing application information; helping with form completion; verifying submission; notifying employees of approvals.
  • Monitors unemployment claims by reviewing claims; substantiating documentation; requesting legal counsel review.
  • Providing general clerical and administrative support to all levels of the organization.
  • Documents human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Accomplishes human resources department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Providing general clerical and administrative support to all levels of the organization.
  • Ensuring that common areas in office premises are equipped with required office supplies as appropriate.
  • Inventory office and benefit supplies on a regular basis, complete purchase orders needed to purchase supplies and maintain needed inventory
  • Provides job candidates by screening, interviewing, and testing applicants; notifying existing staff of internal opportunities; maintaining personnel records; obtaining temporary staff from agencies.
  • Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
  • Tracks candidate and requisition activity in applicant tracking system and maintains accurate recruiting records.
  • Sources resumes and phone screens candidates prior to routing the resume to the hiring manager
  • Checks references and delivers employment offers
  • Develops and maintains productive relationships with hiring managers to ensure achievement of staffing goals
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws as well as affirmative action plan compliance. 
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in a related field (or 4 years’ experience) or 3+ years of relevant experience 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience working in contracting/Government/DoD environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident and works well in a team environment or individually.
  • Ability to understand technology and to remain informed of technology trends for the company’s position.
